The Stolpersteine Groningen Foundation was established at the end of 2021 to facilitate the laying of Stolpersteine in the municipality of Groningen and to help applicants. The foundation acts as a coordination point for the municipality of Groningen and the organization of Gunter Demnig in Amsterdam.

If you want to donate to the foundation, you can do so on bank account NL82 RABO 0375694226 of the Stichting Stolpersteine Groningen, stating ‘donation’. Our suggestion is to donate one (or more) Stolperstein(e) of €150,– each. It can occur that several victims lived in a house, whereas not for all inhabitants a Stolperstein was applied for, and no living relatives are traceable to contact. In such a situation it is desirable to lay a stone for all victims, and the foundation will try to pay for it.
The amount of €150,– will be used to cover the costs of the production and shipping of the stones, incidental traveling costs of the advisors for exploring archives, as well as maintenance of the website and bank account. The board members receive no remuneration.
The foundation has obtained the ANBI status per December 29, 2021.
